As a Media Planner, Traditional & OOH, you will be an essential part of our team, driving the development and execution of impactful media strategies across traditional and out-of-home channels with a primary focus on the Canadian market. You’ll manage and optimize a diverse range of campaigns—from TV and radio to print and billboards—ensuring that each initiative aligns with our broader marketing goals and delivers maximum value.In this role, you’ll take the lead in defining media strategies, negotiating with vendors, and analyzing campaign performance. Your ability to collaborate closely with internal teams and leverage market insights will be key to delivering successful campaigns that resonate with our target audiences across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategy Development: Define media strategies that align with overall marketing objectives, leveraging a deep understanding of market dynamics, consumer behaviour, and the competitive landscape in Canada.
  2. Strategic Media Planning: Develop comprehensive media plans, including budget allocation across traditional and OOH channels, ensuring alignment with defined strategies and objectives.
  3. Vendor Relations & Negotiation: Build and maintain strong relationships with media suppliers, negotiating terms to maximize value and secure optimal placements.
  4. Campaign Management: Oversee the day-to-day execution and quality control of media campaigns, ensuring they meet strategic goals and objectives.
  5. Performance Optimization: Analyze daily campaign performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and provide actionable insights.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and partners to ensure cohesive campaign execution and alignment with the overall strategy.
  7. Market & Industry Analysis: Continuously gather and analyze market, industry, and consumer insights to refine and adjust media strategies as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in media planning and buying, with a focus on traditional media and OOH in the Canadian market.
  • Skills:
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting data and optimizing campaigns.
  • Proven negotiation skills to secure optimal media buys.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective strategy presentation.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana and Notion.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs), Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Education: Degree or Diploma in Media, Advertising, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience across various industries and a deep understanding of the traditional and OOH media landscape in Canada.
  • Experience in Lottery or other regulated industries.
